What perfectionism looks like
From the outside, you look like you have it all together. Inside, a running critic grades everything you do, and even your wins come with a “yeah, but.”
What’s underneath
Perfectionism is usually a protection strategy. Somewhere along the way, you learned that being flawless kept you safe from criticism, rejection, or chaos.
How I work with perfectionism
We look at where your inner critic learned its voice, then practice self-compassion and set goals around your values, so you’re moving toward what matters instead of running from failure.
What changes
The critic gets quieter. You make decisions faster, take more risks, and stop needing to be perfect to feel okay.
Why can’t I just stop being a perfectionist?
Perfectionists often think they’re stuck because they aren’t trying hard enough. Usually they’re trying too hard, and the fear of failing keeps them from starting at all.
